Services
Child Care Connection’s Family
Services Department helps parents find child care by
conducting an individualized computer search from our child
care database which includes homes, centers, preschool programs,
Head Start programs, and more.
We search by a family’s specific needs including: age
of the child or children, location, program type desired,
transportation needed, and other attributes important to the
family.
We can also answer many important questions about the child
care programs on our database, for example, vacancies, fees,
policies, caregiver experience, and types of activities available.
Our data base includes Anchorage, Eagle River, Girdwood,
Kenai, Soldotna, and Mat-Su child care providers. We are continuously
updating our data base to include providers in other south
central communities. .
Parents can speak with an Early Childhood Development Specialist
between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Walk-in service is always available at 3350 Commercial Drive,
Anchorage, Alaska 99501.

To assist you with this process you can
download and fill out the Child Care Referral Request Form, or you can call and have an Early Childhood Development Specialist help you.
Family services are provided free of charge, to include referrals, library use, and consumer information.

Concerns about Child Care Connection, Inc. services can be directed to 563-1966.
Concerns about an early and care and education provider should be directed to Child Care Licensing at 343-6700 (within Anchorage Bowl) or to 269-4500 (outside of Anchorage). Concerns about an Approved Home should be directed to 269-4500.

Whenever information from Child Care Connection, Inc.'s confidential data is requested by any person or organization, an "Authorization for Exchange of Information" form will be required from a parent. Information will not be provided without a parent's prior knowledge and signature.

Child Care Connection, Inc. provides referrals to child care programs only, we do not provide recommendations. Parents are encouraged to visit and interview providers before making a final decision about their child care.
