Finding quality information about child
development and parenting skills can be difficult and expensive.
If you are in need of books, resources, or materials come
check out the Child Care Connection Parent and Professional
Library. We have over 3,000 books, magazines, journals, video
tapes, audio tapes, CD/ROMS and other materials.
The library contains a variety of books about child development
for infants, toddlers, preschool or school-age children. It
also contains professional development curricula, games and
activities for young children, and books of advice from other
parents and experts in the field of early childhood education.
Library hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, the
same hours the office is open. Frequently the library is open
in the evening before our professional development classes
start at 7:00pm. You should call and ask if we are open after
5:00 pm before coming to the office. You can also call or
come by to ask for suggestions regarding a particular topic
or need.
Parents or providers who live out of the Anchorage area can
request materials by email or phone and ask to have materials
mailed. We pay the postage to you, you pay the postage back
to Child Care Connection.
Please stop by or contact us and
ask for library assistance to find out more.
