with support from Child Care Connection, Inc. (CCC)
For more information on the NAFCC Accreditation process, go
to http://www.nafcc.org/accreditation/accreditation.asp
and click on the headings listed below:
After reading the above information, if you are interested
in beginning the NAFCC Accreditation process ask yourself
the following questions:
- Do I meet the eligibility standards for NAFCC
Accreditation?
- Do I have at least 60 training hours over the last
three years? (90
hours will be required by the application
date)
- Am I interested in going through self study and
self reflection of
my program?
CCC offers the following support services for Family Child
Care programs pursuing Accreditation through NAFCC:
- Financial assistance
- On-site consultation services
- Accreditation study groups
- Training/mentoring
- Technical assistance
- E-mail and phone support services
The Self Study process of NAFCC Accreditation is designed
to encourage programs to engage in a structured approach of
improvement. It is an essential step towards NAFCC Accreditation;
however programs may enroll in Self Study even if they do
not expect to proceed with other steps toward NAFCC Accreditation
in the future.
If you have questions, would like additional information,
or are ready to begin the NAFCC Self Study process please
contact Betsy Harris at bharris@childcareconnection.org
