Work/Family Awards
Since 1999, Success By 6 has presented Work/Family Awards.
The Work/Family Award recognizes and honors local businesses
that have family friendly policies such as flexibility, time-off,
sick-leave, insurance, education, and other policies that
support children and families.
The Work/Family Selection Committee comprised of Success
by 6 Community Partners and Governance Board members reviews
each application which is submitted by employees. The Committee
then evaluates the nominee for their family friendly policies.
Applications must meet one of the following five categories
to be considered for an award:
- Non-Profit
- Governmental
- Large Business (for businesses with 50 or more employees)
- Medium Business (for businesses with 20-50 employees)
- Small Business (for businesses with 1-19 employees)
The nomination forms are usually available for the first
two weeks in April, and are obtained through the Anchorage
School District, on this web page, or at Success By 6.
